Job Description

You will be working in a young international team based in Paris, France. From there, you will work for one of the largest retailers in the Benelux. You will be responsible for the entire process of promotional and loyalty campaign management. You will support the setup of these actions, the implementation, the impact analysis and appropriate recommendations towards the client. You will also work on projects that enable our retailer client to better understand its customers. You will work closely with the client as well as with various internal departments within Catalina.

Mission and responsibilities

Marketing Consulting

  • In collaboration with your manager you will set up an annual marketing plan using sales and transactional data from the retailer, as well as customer insights,  and work towards predefined budget and targets;
  • Your job is to understand the needs and interpret the problems of the client, you will need to translate these problems into measurable research questions – for this you will need to work closely with the internal analytical team

Account Management

  • You are the first point of contact for the retailer client, you will build a strong relationship based on trust, you are able to manage their expectations – for this you will need to make daily use of your commercial and interpersonal skills
  • Based on the client’s customer strategy and objectives you will develop, recommend and track relevant communication campaigns that increase the value of Catalina’s partnership with the client, and that will increase loyalty with its customers.
  • You will coordinate the interaction between various internal departments within Catalina to ensure that the design and implementation of the campaigns run smoothly;
  • You will analyze the results of the campaigns, interpret these and create added value. You will give recommendations based on your marketing knowledge and your knowledge of the retailer;
  • You will prepare client presentations based on the results of the communication campaigns and you will present these on-site with the support from your manager.

You will actively participate in the development and coaching of new trainees.

Desired skills and experience

Education/Experience

  • Academic degree in a Business related study, preferably with a Master in Marketing
  • Fluent in Dutch and English is a necessity, French is a plus
  • Experience in the retail sector and in digital marketing is a plus

Skills

  • Analytical, good interpretation skills
  • Commercial attitude, with good interpersonal skills – for both within Catalina as for at the client
  • Self-starter, hands-on mentality and able to work on projects autonomously
  • Result-oriented, accurate, high sense of organization and prioritization
  • Creative and ‘out of the box’-thinker
  • Some knowledge and interest in the retail industry
